After a good night's sleep, enjoyed waking up ready to eat and enjoy the day. I had banana pancakes, sweet plantain, and a bit of rice and beans. Winn had a crepe with mixed fruit topped with chocolate. Not quite what she had in mind.
Said goodbye to the gals we had traveled with yesterday, who were going home today. Met an Aussie couple from Melbourne, who are going to San Juan del Sur for a couple of days.
This morning, we went to the vet clinic Casa Lupita to meet the critters. Met a lot of vet students, the local vet Jason, and a visiting Canadian vet Stephen. Winn and I each walked two dogs. In my case, sometimes they walked me. Hot and humid, so we wore out before the dogs did. This is basically a spay/neuter clinic, but they take in sick animals, rescue animals, and stray travelers. While Winn was getting all the internet connections set up with Lauren, I watched Stephen spay a dog. He did a keyhole procedure, and she should heal quickly and well.
We went to The Garden Cafe, a delightful spot, with a delightful garden. Saw Pauline from La Esperanza, and Dale and Theresa from the Pub Quiz. We offered them the laundry coupon, but they have access to a washer and dryer, so we'll keep it. Winn and I both had fresh lemonade....so refreshing. She had hummus, pita, and veggies, and I had goat cheese with parsley and crostini. Of course, we shared!
Came home :) to A/C and comfort. I ran across the street and changed some money at the bank. Will have to see what rate I got. I just wanted to get back and cool, and comfy. Shower comes soon. Evening entertainment is Chocolate and Wine benefiting Centro de Arte. There is an opportunity to guess the countries of three wines and three chocolates.
